I have previously worked with Palladium international as a senior program manager/ tier lead Agroforestry in the Propcom Mai-karfi project (the flagship Market System and agribusiness Development program in Nigeria) where I was responsible for the design, execution, and evaluation of climate-smart interventions agroforestry intervention to reduce the effects of climate change on the environment, natural resources and promoting agroforestry and carbon sequestration animal health and livestock production. This required understanding the sub-sector and carrying out sub-sector analysis, defining and engaging with various stakeholders, and conducting key stakeholders’ analysis, to know where power resides within the system and be able to target key change agents. It also required engaging with both the private and public sectors driving innovations and innovative developments

Before working with Palladium on the Propcom Mai-Karfi project, I also held senior management roles with Mercy Corps where I was responsible for designing market systems interventions and inclusive business models under the Markets, Agricultural Livelihoods, and Livestock program where we adopted a climate-smart approach to building the resilience of local farmers who have been affected by the negative effect of Boko haram crises and climate change and are experiencing low productivity across board and other aspects of their lives. Being the program manager, I was responsible for developing the strategic annual plan covering the 3 independent climate-sensitive projects under the MALL program and engaging with stakeholders. Further, I was responsible for managing the total budget of the program amounting to $4.3 million, and supporting proposal development.

For Market Development Program in Niger Delta (MADE) where I worked as an intervention/market manager with DAI using the market system development approach. It was driving all stakeholder coordination as well as business models for oil palm, cocoa, poultry, aquaculture, agricultural inputs, and cassava, to adopt climate-smart initiatives.

I have successfully managed different consortiums of partners in the course of my work over the years in line with set goals and targets and achieved tangible results. Notably among them are FCDO -Under the Egbeda gas to power project and MADE, GIZ – under the ALMRI project at Mercy Corps, EU Under the Egbeda Gas to power project, and BMGF- under the PDR project at Mercy Corps.
