Lilia Bliznashka

Lily Bliznashka is a Research Fellow in the Nutrition, Diets, and Health Unit. Her research focuses on assessing the effectiveness of multi-input nutrition-sensitive and nutrition-specific interventions and the mechanisms through which they work to improve maternal and child health and nutrition globally. She has worked in Burkina Faso, Burundi, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Covid-19: Functioning food markets key to corona welfare package (Yahoo India)

Yahoo India published an op-ed by Mamata Pradhan and Senior Research Fellow Devesh Roy on the next economic steps India should take to recover from the COVID-19 health crisis. Though many regions are creating rationing packages and other safety nets, the authors suggest that only when the markets are running, the safety nets would be useful. Republished in Financial Express
