Ahmed Akhter

Akhter Ahmed

Akhter Ahmed is a Senior Research Fellow in the IFPRI’s Poverty, Gender, and Inclusion Unit and Country Representative for IFPRI Bangladesh. He has worked on strategies for agricultural and rural development, social protection, and women’s empowerment to reduce poverty, food insecurity, and undernutrition in developing countries including Bangladesh, China, Egypt, India, Malawi, the Philippines, and Turkey.

Wahidul Amin

Bio

Md. Wahidul Amin is a Senior Program Manager in the HarvestPlus section of the Innovation Policy and Scaling Unit, and Country Coordinator for HarvestPlus, Bangladesh. Wahidul has 20 years experience in monitoring and evaluation (M&E), project design, project management, and grant management in national and international research and development organizations. He helped to design the overall M&E system operational framework of the CSISA-BD project with three CGIAR members. Since 2007, he has worked in the CGIAR system in knowledge management, including eight years with HarvestPlus and previously eight years with IRRI. He received his MSc in Plant Pathology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Bangladesh, and a BS in Agriculture from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Bangladesh.
