Lilia Bliznashka

Research Fellow

Lily Bliznashka is a Research Fellow in the Nutrition, Diets, and Health Unit, based in Washington, DC. She is an interdisciplinary researcher with expertise in global health and nutrition, program evaluation, development economics, and quantitative methods. Her research focuses on assessing the effectiveness of multi-input nutrition-sensitive and nutrition-specific interventions and the mechanisms through which they work to improve maternal and child health and nutrition globally. Lily also has expertise in early childhood development, including using qualitative and quantitative methods to understand how parenting interventions influence early childhood development and conducting implementation research to improve programming for young children and their parents. She has worked in Burkina Faso, Burundi, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Lily has a PhD in Population Health Science from Harvard University. She also holds a master’s degree in International Affairs from Tufts University and a bachelor’s in Business Administration from Georgetown University. Lily’s publications are available on Google Scholar.
