Adopting improved farm technology

The papers presented in this edited volume contribute to a better understanding of the nature and direction of these linkages. The focus is primarily, but not inclusively, on growth and equity in Zambian smallholder agriculture in the context of the increasing agricultural productivity resulting from technological change. The analysis centers on capacity of the regional and local economies to translate rapid agricultural growth into sustainable development and on the participation of the poor in that development.
