Ruth Meinzen-Dick

Ruth Meinzen-Dick is a Senior Research Fellow in the Natural Resources and Resilience Unit. She has extensive transdisciplinary research experience in using qualitative and quantitative research methods. Her work focuses on two broad (and sometimes interrelated) areas: how institutions affect how people manage natural resources, and the role of gender in development processes.

May Wang

Research Assistant

Bio

May Wang is a Research Assistant with the Development Strategies and Governance Unit, based in Beijing. She mainly supports research and external communication. May is fluent in Japanese and proficient in both English and Mandarin.

Prior to joining IFPRI, May interned at Peace Boat, an international organization based in Tokyo, Japan, the American Red Cross, and at a leading digital healthcare company in Shanghai. Through these internships she has engaged in multilingual client communications and event management, improved her skills in program design and project management, streamlined digital operations and developed new platform strategies.

May holds a bachelor’s in Nutritional Sciences from Auburn University and a master’s in Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh.
