Erick Boy

Erick Boy is the Chief Nutritionist in the HarvestPlus section of the Innovation Policy and Scaling Unit. As head of nutrition for the HarvestPlus Program since 2008, he has led research that has generated scientific evidence on biofortified staple crops as efficacious and effective interventions to help address iron, vitamin A, and zinc deficiency in sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and South Asia.

Stephanie Levy

Bio

Stephanie Levy is a Non-resident Research Fellow with the Foresight and Policy Modeling Unit. She is also a guest Lecturer with the London School of Economics (LSE).

Stephanie is an experienced development economist with expertise in social protection and poverty reduction policies in Africa and Asia. She also has extensive technical knowledge of modeling and policy analysis using micro-simulation tools, general equilibrium models, and randomized controlled trials.

At IFPRI, she conducts research on the complementarity between rural development policies, agricultural growth programs, and social transfers. Specifically, her research focuses on the general equilibrium effects of social protection, economic inclusion, and livelihood programs

Prior to joining IFPRI, Stephanie worked in over 15 countries in Africa and Asia,  and conducted research for the World Bank, UN Institutions, the Gates Foundation, the Overseas Development Institute, governments in low- and middle-income countries, and NGOs.

She received a bachelor’s in Mathematics and a master’s in Econometrics from the Sorbonne University as well as a PhD in Development Economics from Toulouse University.
