Lina Alaaeldin Abdelfattah

Lina Alaaeldin Abdelfattah is a Senior Research Associate in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit, based in Cairo. Her research interests include applied economic development, trade, and spatial economics, with a focus on topics relevant to social protection, food, nutrition, and agriculture in the Middle East and Africa.

Water, gender, and health

This research explores the linkages between water management and access, gender, enhanced nutrition and human health. Particular attention is  paid to water quality assessment, health and nutrition, water management and the incidence of diseases such as malaria, and the gender implications of water management and access. Specific sub-topics include:
