Elodie Becquey

Elodie Becquey is a Senior Research Fellow in the Nutrition, Diets, and Health Unit, based in IFPRI’s West and Central Africa office in Senegal. She has over 15 years of research experience in diet, nutrition, and food security in Africa, including countries such as Burkina Faso, Chad, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Mali, and Tanzania.

Enhancing cross-sectoral problem solving and collaboration

Air pollution and poverty. Biodiversity loss and malnutrition. Climate change and inequality. Across the health, development and environment sectors, we know that the world’s biggest challenges are interconnected—and so are the solutions.

As one of the four founding organizations—the others being The Nature Conservancy, PATH and Duke University—IFPRI supports the vision and mission of the Bridge Collaborative which seeks for the health, development and environment communities jointly solving today’s complex, interconnected challenges. By inspiring a community of leaders and practitioners from across disciplines, sectors and perspectives, the Collaborative is developing a shared evidence base for solutions that bridge inclusive development and environmental sustainability.
