Endorsement from Pascal Lamy, director-general of the World Trade Organization (2005–2013); president emeritus, Jacques Delors Institute

“Both food security and global trade are complex systems, and the relationship between the two is equally intricate. Untangling this relationship requires robust evidence and first-rate experts who can evaluate and analyze the many factors and theories involved. Agriculture, Development, and the Global Trading System: 2000-2015 provides just that. The book covers food security and world trade from a variety of angles, fleshing out the history, rationale, and implications of such important topics as the WTO’s Doha Development Round, agricultural insurance, and food stockholding programs.”
