Avoiding a global food crisis (Bloomberg TV)

Bloomberg TV published a video interview with senior research fellow Joseph Glauber. The interview opened with a discussion stemming from comments by President Biden. Biden is warning the war in Ukraine could cause global food shortages. Glauber said that the war exacerbates the problems already in place--higher prices due to a variety of weather-related crises. "You will see in a lot of countries in North Africa, some governments will subsidize wheat costs, while others like Yemen will need humanitarian aid. Governments should 'do no harm.' Glauber also discussed yields, gas prices, fertilizer, and other issues.
