Danielle Resnick

Danielle Resnick is a Senior Research Fellow in the Markets, Trade, and Institutions Unit and a Non-Resident Fellow in the Global Economy and Development Program at the Brookings Institution. Her research focuses on the political economy of agricultural policy and food systems, governance, and democratization, drawing on extensive fieldwork and policy engagement across Africa and South Asia.

China to accelerate U.S.farm purchases, as trade partners raise concerns over U.S. farm assistance (Farm Policy News)

Farm Policy News reported on the Bloomberg article that  “China plans to accelerate purchases of American farm goods to comply with the phase one trade deal with the U.S. following talks in Hawaii this week. Senior Research Fellow Joseph Glauber’s tweet was quoted, ” To get back to 2017 levels is a reasonable target given current pace. But it won’t get us exports to $36.5 bil.” Tweet on Friday from Joe Glauber… (@JoeGlauber1).”
