Danielle Resnick

Danielle Resnick is a Senior Research Fellow in the Markets, Trade, and Institutions Unit and a Non-Resident Fellow in the Global Economy and Development Program at the Brookings Institution. Her research focuses on the political economy of agricultural policy and food systems, governance, and democratization, drawing on extensive fieldwork and policy engagement across Africa and South Asia.

Grocery prices are poised to come down, but not until after the holidays (CBS News)

CBS News Chicago interviewed Rob Vos, Director of IFPRI’s Markets, Trade, and Institutions division for an episode investigating how supply chain problems, COVID concerns, and inflation affect grocery prices in the US.

“Price on the international markets have been dropping over the past few months. Now they’re coming down in part because of the better prospect of harvest, but also because a lot of countries imposed export bans on food exports,” said Vos.
