Danielle Resnick

Danielle Resnick is a Senior Research Fellow in the Markets, Trade, and Institutions Unit and a Non-Resident Fellow in the Global Economy and Development Program at the Brookings Institution. Her research focuses on the political economy of agricultural policy and food systems, governance, and democratization, drawing on extensive fieldwork and policy engagement across Africa and South Asia.

CNA (Asia) reported on how families and businesses in Singapore might see prices of some goods rise amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Pump prices for petrol and diesel, as well as the cost of electricity, will go up as a result of rising global energy costs due to the crisis in Ukraine. Senior research fellow David Laborde stated that the real impacts on the global food supply would be felt in four months, when the next wheat harvest would begin.”
