Danielle Resnick

Danielle Resnick is a Senior Research Fellow in the Markets, Trade, and Institutions Unit and a Non-Resident Fellow in the Global Economy and Development Program at the Brookings Institution. Her research focuses on the political economy of agricultural policy and food systems, governance, and democratization, drawing on extensive fieldwork and policy engagement across Africa and South Asia.

Increased mustard oil production: A solution to edible oil crisis (The Daily Star)

The Daily Star published an article on how prices of soybean and palm oil have risen sharply in the last two years, and no wonder they topped the list of costly oils. According to IFPRI, the price increase is mainly due to global weather events that have taken a toll on the supplies of two key oil commodities.
