Lilia Bliznashka

Lily Bliznashka is a Research Fellow in the Nutrition, Diets, and Health Unit. Her research focuses on assessing the effectiveness of multi-input nutrition-sensitive and nutrition-specific interventions and the mechanisms through which they work to improve maternal and child health and nutrition globally. She has worked in Burkina Faso, Burundi, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Poverty Rate Drops in China (CGTN)

January 11, 2018


CGTN recently broadcast a feature exploring factors behind drop in China’s poverty rates. The channel interviewed IFPRI’s Shenggen Fan, who argued while China has made substantial progress in reducing poverty, the country should include policies to address hunger and malnutrition as part of its ambitious program to eliminate poverty by 2020.
