Lilia Bliznashka

Lily Bliznashka is a Research Fellow in the Nutrition, Diets, and Health Unit. Her research focuses on assessing the effectiveness of multi-input nutrition-sensitive and nutrition-specific interventions and the mechanisms through which they work to improve maternal and child health and nutrition globally. She has worked in Burkina Faso, Burundi, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Worst drought in 16 years threatens food supplies in North Korea – UN (Reuters)

The Thomson Reuters Foundation published an article on food security in North Korea, which highlighted the Global Hunger Index. The country is facing severe food shortages because of an extreme drought. The article cites the GHI findings that in 2016 two in every five people in North Korea were undernourished. The article ran in 17 other publications including major outlets such as The Irish Times, MSN, UK’s The Daily Mail, The Sydney Morning Herald, and CGTN
