Hilda Owiti is a Senior Resource Mobilization Specialist in the Strategy and Partnerships Unit, and is based in Nairobi, Kenya. With over 10 years’ experience in international development, Hilda supports IFPRI’s fundraising pipeline: including proposal development, opportunity mapping, outreach and engagement efforts.
Prior to joining IFPRI, she held partnership and program development roles in Somalia with CARE International and International Medical Corps (IMC), co-ordinating and supporting the design and delivery of evidence-informed, locally led and collaborative programs across different humanitarian and development sectors, with a strong focus on improving lives and livelihoods. Her experience also includes roles as a Research Assistant at LVCT Health in Nairobi, Kenya and a Public Health Analyst in the NHS/Local Authority in London, UK, contributing to research and evidence generation informing health system policy and equity. Hilda holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Imperial College London and a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences with Molecular Genetics from Warwick University.
