Where we work

IFPRI currently has more than 480 employees working in over 70 countries with a wide range of local, national, and international partners.

RIAPA-AI bridges the gap between complex economic simulation and accessible policy analysis. By pairing a general-purpose LLM interface with a rigorous CGE mathematical engine, the platform enables policymakers to specify scenarios, run economic models, and generate consistent analytical reports in minutes. The AI acts strictly as an interface and analyst for the CGE engine, preserving the model’s mathematical structure and eliminating the risk of logical hallucinations.

This system builds upon the foundation of the traditional RIAPA model, a widely-used CGE framework developed by IFPRI to evaluate the complex impacts of exogenous shocks and policy changes across different economic sectors and socioeconomic groups.
