David Spielman

David Spielman is the director of IFPRI’s Innovation Policy and Scaling Unit and has been with the institute since 2004. His research agenda covers a range of topics including agriculture and rural development policy; agricultural science, technology, and innovation; plant genetic resources and seed systems; agricultural extension and advisory services; and community-driven rural development.

Climate Change to Impact Agriculture Production in China (China Science Daily)

January 17, 2018


China Science Daily published an article  on the adverse impact of climate change on the country’s agriculture production. The article, referring to IFPRI’s research by Man Li, interviewed Li and Keith Wiebe, who argued that overall impact of climate change on agricultural production is negative and the government should strengthen its support to research and development of adaptation strategies to cope with it.
