Eliot Jones-Garcia

Eliot Jones-Garcia is a Senior Research Analyst with the Natural Resources and Resilience Unit based in Washington, DC. His research focuses on human-AI interaction, user-centered design, and the ethical and responsible development of AI. Eliot is currently finalizing a PhD on the digitalization of agricultural advisory services at Wageningen University & Research.

We need to involve more women in the agricultural sciences (Devex)

Devex published an op-ed citing IFPRI’s Nienke Beintema for her study on Female representation in Agricultural Research, in Sub-Saharan Africa. Beintema found that women represented only 24 percent of researchers in agricultural sciences and 17 percent of leaders in that field. “It is important that agricultural research agencies employ a balance of male and female researchers,” Beintema pointed out in the study.
