Erick Boy

Erick Boy is the Chief Nutritionist in the HarvestPlus section of the Innovation Policy and Scaling Unit. As head of nutrition for the HarvestPlus Program since 2008, he has led research that has generated scientific evidence on biofortified staple crops as efficacious and effective interventions to help address iron, vitamin A, and zinc deficiency in sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and South Asia.

Nutrition survey: Children show early signs of diabetes, high cholesterol (India Finance News)

India Finance News published an article on a growing risk of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease in children. Senior Research Fellow Purnima Menon said, “These figures should frighten people — not just policymakers, but also parents—into acting for their children. There is an urgent need to improve diets at home, in schools, in public institutions.”  Republished in Bloomberg Quint
