Prime News Ghana reported that the Ranking Member on the Food, Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs Committee in Parliament, Eric Opoku, wants the government to immediately address challenges poultry farmers are currently facing with regard to access to feed for their chicken. According to an IFPRI study on the poultry feed sector, maize accounted for 60 percent of poultry feed. Thus, its availability and price have implications for the profitability and growth potential of the industry. Also published in Citi Business News (Ghana).
