Lilia Bliznashka

Lily Bliznashka is a Research Fellow in the Nutrition, Diets, and Health Unit. Her research focuses on assessing the effectiveness of multi-input nutrition-sensitive and nutrition-specific interventions and the mechanisms through which they work to improve maternal and child health and nutrition globally. She has worked in Burkina Faso, Burundi, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Food Systems and COVID-19: Irish development organizations’ role in building back better

IFPRI’s Director General Johan Swinnen is participating in the UCC Centre for Global Development and IFIAD three-part webinar series on Food Systems and Nutrition. The series aims to highlight work being done by Irish development institutions, and generate discussion on how to move forward looking toward the UN Food Systems Summit.

    This webinar will highlight vulnerabilities in food systems exposed by COVID-19, identify key elements of strategies to “build back better” and will present evidence of food security along with examples of applied research.
