Danielle Resnick

Danielle Resnick is a Senior Research Fellow in the Markets, Trade, and Institutions Unit and a Non-Resident Fellow in the Global Economy and Development Program at the Brookings Institution. Her research focuses on the political economy of agricultural policy and food systems, governance, and democratization, drawing on extensive fieldwork and policy engagement across Africa and South Asia.

IFPRI’s Shenggen Fan and Rob Vos are participating in a high-level event of the Global Network Against Food Crises, which will include the launch of the Global Report on Food Crises 2019.

The report brings together regional and national data and analysis to present the latest global picture of acute food and nutrition insecurity and its trends and drivers. It is a flagship global publication providing humanitarian and development actors with vital insights to inform their programming, policy and financing decisions.  

The launch takes place during the opening session of the two-day high-level event ‘Food and agriculture in times of crisis’ hosted by the European Commission on behalf of the Global Network Against Food Crises. Participants will discuss a range of approaches and solutions for preventing and addressing food crises. It will chart out a road map for joint action by network partners for years to come.
