Danielle Resnick

Danielle Resnick is a Senior Research Fellow in the Markets, Trade, and Institutions Unit and a Non-Resident Fellow in the Global Economy and Development Program at the Brookings Institution. Her research focuses on the political economy of agricultural policy and food systems, governance, and democratization, drawing on extensive fieldwork and policy engagement across Africa and South Asia.

Bangladesh marks revolutionary growth in aquaculture: IFPRI (The Daily Observer)

The Daily Observer published an article on a recent IFPRI study on aquaculture in Bangladesh. The study, “The ‘quiet revolution’ in the aquaculture value chain in Bangladesh“, led by Research Coordinator Ricardo Hernandez finds that the market for farmed fish grew 25 times over three decades. Dr. Hernandez explained the benefits of commercially sold farmed fish in increasing local employment, generating investments, and improving fish yields.
