Lilia Bliznashka

Lily Bliznashka is a Research Fellow in the Nutrition, Diets, and Health Unit. Her research focuses on assessing the effectiveness of multi-input nutrition-sensitive and nutrition-specific interventions and the mechanisms through which they work to improve maternal and child health and nutrition globally. She has worked in Burkina Faso, Burundi, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Fish Caught in America, Processed in China Get Trapped by Trade Dispute (Wall Street Journal)

August 14, 2018


Wall Street Journal published a news feature on the US administration’s proposed tariffs on import of processed fish products from China and its impact on domestic companies. The article interviewed IFPRI’s Senior Research Fellow, Joseph Glauber, who pointed out that the proposed tariffs could cut profits or boost prices throughout seafood supply chains, from fishermen to consumers.
