Erick Boy is the Chief Nutritionist in the HarvestPlus section of the Innovation Policy and Scaling Unit. As head of nutrition for the HarvestPlus Program since 2008, he has led research that has generated scientific evidence on biofortified staple crops as efficacious and effective interventions to help address iron, vitamin A, and zinc deficiency in sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and South Asia.

Anderson Benson is a Project Manager in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit, based in IFPRI’s Malawi office. He supports the IFPRI team in managing complex data collection, analysis, and other research activities to inform development policy. His research interests are in development and agricultural economics. Before joining IFPRI, Anderson worked with Innovations for Poverty Action, Catholic Relief Services, and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, working on poverty, food security, social protection, gender, and landscape restoration projects. He holds a master’s degree in Development Economics from the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
