Inaugural event in the 2013 DuPont Agriculture Development Roundtable Series

IFPRI is pleased to host the first discussion in this series aimed at fostering action among public and private entities to address the global challenge of feeding nine billion people.

Agriculture value chains are being increasingly recognized for their ability to reduce rural poverty and food insecurity by linking rural production to global markets. Come listen to the perspectives of the panelists as they tell us where the private sector adds the most value along the chain; how the private sector helps to remove bottlenecks along the chain; which additional actors are required to create an enabling environment for increasing the efficiency of the chain; and important considerations necessary to increase value for the entire value chain not just some of its participants.
