Danielle Resnick

Danielle Resnick is a Senior Research Fellow in the Markets, Trade, and Institutions Unit and a Non-Resident Fellow in the Global Economy and Development Program at the Brookings Institution. Her research focuses on the political economy of agricultural policy and food systems, governance, and democratization, drawing on extensive fieldwork and policy engagement across Africa and South Asia.

This webinar will focus on the newly-launched abbreviated version of the Women’s Empowerment in Agriculture Index (A-WEAI). IFPRI’s WEAI Research Coordinator, Hazel Malapit, joined by Farzana Ramzan and Emily Hogue from USAID’s Bureau for Food Security, will discuss the reasons for developing a shorter version of the WEAI, describe the development and piloting process, and highlight the differences between the AWEAI and the original WEAI. Time will also be allowed for a question and answer session with webinar participants.
