  • 9:00 – 5:00 pm (America/Belem)
  • 7:00 – 3:00 pm (US/Eastern)
  • 5:30 – 1:30 am (Asia/Kolkata)

IFPRI is pleased to participate in the 30th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP30) being held in Belém, Brazil from November 10 to November 21, 2025.

COP30 builds on progress of previous COPs to turn the ambitions of the Paris Agreement into reality. Hosted in the Amazonian city of Belém, the topics of adaptation to climate change and climate finance will be high on the agenda, along with a strong emphasis on climate justice and the participation of Indigenous peoples and local communities. This conference marks a decisive shift from ‘agreements to action’. With countries submitting new NDCs by September 2025, and the Global Stocktake (GST) highlighting the urgency of transforming food systems, COP30 is a unique opportunity to inspire and lead partnerships for science and innovation which can underpin climate‑resilient agriculture and nature-positive food systems.
