IFPRI’s Director General, Johan Swinnen, is pleased to participate in the 2026 Future of Food Summit, which will be held in London on February 10, 2026.
In 2026 Economist Impact’s inaugural Future of Food Summit will focus on the economics of food-system transformation. It will connect food-industry leaders and agricultural stakeholders with agri-tech innovators, financial institutions and policymakers. They will explore how emerging solutions including new finance mechanisms, regenerative farming, precision technologies and AI-enabled supply chains can generate tangible economic value.
Sessions will equip delegates with strategies to align sustainability with profitability and support both ecological stewardship and economic performance.
Closing Panel: How to build resilience in the food chain? | 17:45 – 18:15 (Europe/London)
What are the collective priorities for achieving robust food systems for the future? How can the food industry build resilience to anticipate and survive the next economic shock? What will keep farmers farming down the generations? How can food manufacturers, foodservice and retailers innovate to align with market-driven trends?
