Kinya Kaibung’a is a Research Officer with the Development Strategies and Governance Unit, based in Nairobi, Kenya. She has a keen interest in leveraging machine learning, AI, and other cutting-edge technologies to boost climate resilience and food security in smart agriculture systems.

New seeds bill can change Indian agriculture, but speculation looms over implementation (News18)

News18 (India) reported on the potential of a new bill to change the agriculture sector in India, but how it will be done is still in question.  Research Fellow Avinash Kishore explained that the new bill reverses requirements for overcertification, however, agriculture in India is burdened by overregulation and the new Seed Bill is not going to reduce that problem.”
