Lilia Bliznashka

Lily Bliznashka is a Research Fellow in the Nutrition, Diets, and Health Unit. Her research focuses on assessing the effectiveness of multi-input nutrition-sensitive and nutrition-specific interventions and the mechanisms through which they work to improve maternal and child health and nutrition globally. She has worked in Burkina Faso, Burundi, Tanzania, and Uganda.

The poor face food crisis amid pandemic (China Daily News) 

April 24, 2020

China Daily News published an op-ed written by Director General Johan Swinnen. The op-ed discusses the potential for a food crisis. The coronavirus outbreak is likely to cause another major food crisis for the poor. And to avoid a food crisis, governments will need to implement policies and programs that target those most impacted and help address the negative impacts. Republished in China Daily News Digital, China Daily Global Edition, China Daily European Edition.
