Danielle Resnick

Danielle Resnick is a Senior Research Fellow in the Markets, Trade, and Institutions Unit and a Non-Resident Fellow in the Global Economy and Development Program at the Brookings Institution. Her research focuses on the political economy of agricultural policy and food systems, governance, and democratization, drawing on extensive fieldwork and policy engagement across Africa and South Asia.

Joanna Vanasselt

Bio

Joanna van Asselt is a Research Fellow in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. Her current research focuses on food security in Myanmar. Her previous research focused on improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers in rural Africa, Asia, and Central America, and assessing whether government policies ensure food and nutrition security, work toward gender equality, and value sustainability. Joanna received her PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Florida.
