Danielle Resnick is a Senior Research Fellow in the Markets, Trade, and Institutions Unit and a Non-Resident Fellow in the Global Economy and Development Program at the Brookings Institution. Her research focuses on the political economy of agricultural policy and food systems, governance, and democratization, drawing on extensive fieldwork and policy engagement across Africa and South Asia.

Ester Jimmy Simfukwe is the project associate at HarvestPlus hosted by Alliance Bioversity International & CIAT Tanzania, working on the commercialization of biofortified crops in the country. Previous to HarvestPlus, she worked with World Vegetable Center as Coordinator – Legume Agronomist; and before that as an agronomist with the One Acre Fund in Tanzania. Ester has a wealth of experience in the field, including working with innovation teams and communities facing agricultural challenges. Her career has focused on nutrition sensitive agriculture, crop nutrition, soil science and agronomy for sustainable agriculture and development in Africa.
