Ruth Meinzen-Dick

Ruth Meinzen-Dick is a Senior Research Fellow in the Natural Resources and Resilience Unit. She has extensive transdisciplinary research experience in using qualitative and quantitative research methods. Her work focuses on two broad (and sometimes interrelated) areas: how institutions affect how people manage natural resources, and the role of gender in development processes.

Bio

Khalid Siddig is a Senior Research Fellow in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit and Program Leader for the Sudan Strategy Support Program. He is an agricultural economist with a focus on examining the impacts of potential shocks and the allocation of resources on economic growth, environmental sustainability, and income distribution through the lens of economywide and micro-level tools. His work bridges economywide models with essential tools such as water, energy, climate, and river basin models.

Before joining IFPRI, Khalid gained academic and research experience at the University of Hohenheim Germany; Humboldt University of Berlin; and the University of Khartoum, Sudan. He holds advanced degrees in agricultural economics and computer science.
