Agnes Quisumbing

Agnes Quisumbing is a Senior Research Fellow in the Poverty, Gender, and Inclusion Unit. She co-leads a research program that examines how closing the gap between men’s and women’s ownership and control of assets may lead to better development outcomes.

The triennial International Conference of Agricultural Economists (ICAE-2024), centred on the theme “Transformation Towards Sustainable Agri-Food Systems” is scheduled from August 2-7, 2024, in New Delhi, India. The conference offers a distinctive platform, providing a golden opportunity for the agricultural academic institutions and researchers to convene in person, exchange knowledge, and actively contribute to the global agricultural research community. This International Association of Agricultural Economists (IAAE) flagship conference attracts about a thousand colleagues from around the world. The IAAE has a worldwide membership of agricultural economists and others concerned with agricultural economic problems, organized to foster the application of agricultural economics to improve rural economic and social conditions.

IFPRI is honored to serve as a co-organizer of the 32nd International Conference of Agricultural Economists and looks forward to actively participating in the deliberations of this premier convening of agricultural economists from around the word. ICAE-2024 on “Transformation Towards Sustainable Agri-Food Systems” is scheduled from August 2-7, 2024, in New Delhi, India and will bring together the global agricultural research community and others concerned with agricultural economic problems, and rural economic and social conditions. The ICAE, the flagship conference of the International Association of Agricultural Economists (IAAE), attracts about a thousand colleagues from around the world.  More than 60 researchers from IFPRI will be participating in ICAE panels and sessions, and contributing papers and posters, as outlined here:
